“जब किसी व्यक्ति के पक्ष या विपक्ष में कोई भाव उठे तो उसे उस व्यक्ति पर मत आरोपित करे।” अगर हमें किसी के विरूद्ध घृणा अनुभव हो या किसी के लिए प्रेम अनुभव हो तो हम क्या करते है? हम उस घृणा या प्रेम को उस व्यक्ति पर आरोपित कर देते है। अगर तुम मेरे प्रति घृणा अनुभव करते हो तो उस घृणा के ही कारण तुम अपने को बिलकुल भूल जाते हो। और मैं तुम्हारा एक मात्र लक्ष्य या विषय बन जाता हूं। वैसे ही जब तुम मुझे प्रेम करते हो तो भी तुम अपने को बिलकुल ही भूल जाते हो। और मुझे अपना एक मात्र विषय बना लेते हो। तुम अपनी घृणा को प्रेम को या जो भी भाव हो, उसे मुझे पर प्रक्षेपित कर देते हो। उस दशा में तुम आंतरिक केंद्र को भूल जाते हो। और दूसरे को अपना केंद्र बना लेते यह सूत्र कहता है। कि जब किसी के प्रति घृणा, प्रेम या कोई और भाव पक्ष या विपक्ष में पैदा हो तो उसको, उस भाव को उस व्यक्ति पर आरोपित मत करो। बल्कि स्मरण रखो कि उस भाव का स्त्रोत तुम स्वयं हो।
मैं तुम्हें प्रेम करता हूं। इसमें सामान्य भाव यह है कि तुम मेरे प्रेम के स्त्रोत हो। लेकिन यह हकीकत नहीं है। मैं ही स्त्रोत हूं, तुम तो महज वह पर्दा हो जिस पर मैं अपने प्रेम को प्रक्षेपित करता हूं। तुम मात्र पर्दा हो। मैं अपना प्रेम तुम पर प्रक्षेपित करता हूं। और मैं कहता हूं कि तुम मेरे प्रेम के स्त्रोत हो। लेकिन यह तथ्य नहीं है। यह झूठ है। यह मेरी ही प्रेम की ऊर्जा है जिसे मैं तुम पर प्रक्षेपित कर रहा हूं।
