अनन्त श्र गुरुदेवजीके करकमलों में प्रभो! आपकी लीला अपरंपार है । यद्यपि कई महानुभावों ने पत्रोंद्वारा आग्रह किया कि ‘मानस-पीयूप’ तथा ‘विनय-पीयूष’ के समान श्रीमद्गोस्वामोजीके अन्य ग्रन्थोंकी भी (पीयूष) टीका लिखी जाय, तथापि ‘विनय-पीयूष’ के छपाने में जो अत्यन्त कट हुआ, उससे जी ऊब गया। दूसरे, अब शरीरका ८४ वाँ वर्ष चल रहा है । वृद्धावस्थाका पूरा शृङ्गार शरीरने धारण किया है । शिर हाथ काँपते हैं, नेत्रकी दृष्टि मंद पड़ गयी है । स्मरण शक्ति का अत्यन्त हास है।-इत्यादि कारणोंसे संकल्प तो यही था कि अब कुछ न लिखू गा । फिर भी श्री हनुमान बाहुक’ की ‘पद्यार्थ, वृहत् भूमिका एवं प्रयोगों सहित टीका’ तथा ‘पीयूप वर्षिणी’ टीका आपने खेल रचकर करा ही ली।
अभी तक श्रीरघुनाथजीके चरित और गुण गाये थे, भक्तचरित न गाया था । श्रीमहारानीजीने श्रीहनुमानजीको मेरा रक्षक नियुक्त कर दिया और आपने अञ्जनीनन्दन शरण नामकरण किया, फिर भी मैंने उनका गुणगान नहीं किया, कदाचित् इस भारी दोपकी निवृत्ति के लिए यह लीला की।…….
