श्रीमन्महीधर भट्ट विरचित ‘मन्त्रमहोदधि’ उनकी स्वोपज्ञ ‘नौका’ टीका के साथ विद्वानों के समक्ष प्रस्तुत है । इस संस्करण में ‘अरित्र’ नामक हिन्दी व्याख्या संयोजित है। | यह ग्रन्थ इन्हीं तीनों से पूर्ण होता है । यह ग्रन्थ मन्त्रों का महासमुद्र है, जिसे पार करने के लिए नौका (यान) की आवश्यकता है, किन्तु यह नौका बिना डाड़े ( अरित्र) के नहीं । चल सकती थी, इसलिए अरित्र नामक हिन्दी व्याख्या अत्यन्त सजग होकर लिखी गई है।
मूल, टीका तथा हिन्दी में एकवाक्यता का सदैव ध्यान दिया गया है । मन्त्रों के अक्षरों की गणना तीनों ही स्थल पर गिन कर एक सी प्रस्तुत की गई हैं । कहीं कहीं इन्हें मन्त्रों के बाद कोष्ठक में दर्शाया भी गया है । मन्त्रों के बीजाक्षरों की वर्तनी का ध्यान पदे-पदे रक्खा गया है । यन्त्रों के चित्र अत्यन्त अशुद्ध थे जिन्हे यथासम्भव शुद्ध करने का प्रयास किया गया है, फिर भी कोई सर्वज्ञ नहीं है, त्रुटि सम्भावित है, अतः बिना गुरु के मन्त्र-दीक्षा लिए इनका प्रयोग नहीं करना चाहिए। …………………
